2010 Margaret River Red

Main Content

2010 was the fourth outstanding vintage in Margaret River and this applied to both red and white varieties. During November 2009, there was good rainfall, which helped carry the vines through some hot weather in subsequent months. Reviews:
James Hailliday Australian Wine Companion 2013, 92 points. Highly Recommended and Special Value.
A 48/36/16% blend of malbec, petit verdot and merlot with only 21% of the wine having oak contact (eight months in 2-year-old French oak). It is a compelling demonstration of the quality of the fruit that Cullen receives, leaving others shaking their heads in envy. It is full of red and blackcurrant fruit with emphasis on plum, and has a soft, inviting palate.
