The warmer than usual conditions during the spring of 2007 accelerated growth and thus led to an earlier than usual vintage. However, the temperatures in the weeks leading immediately up to vintage were never excessive and provided optimal conditions for grape maturation and consequently the production of an excellent Mangan red wine.
The 2007 Mangan red wine was made from 37% Malbec, 32% Petit Verdot and 31% Merlot. The wine was matured for four months in one and two year old French barriques.
Colour: Deep blackish red with a crimson meniscus
Bouquet: Rich, complex and enticing, combining black cherry, clove roses and plum compote aromas
Palate: Combining complex cherry and plum flavours that are backed by good firm but unobtrusive tannins
Cellaring: Up to 15 Years
Food: Most meat dishes and cheeses
