At the Winery
As early as 1976 Cullen started cellar sales from the winery, and it they were the first winery in the area to provide food and snacks with their wine tastings and sales. The refreshments were simple; cheese platters, pasties and soups to save people from drinking too much on an empty stomach.
Today, the restaurant has evolved to become a ‘must-do’ on the Western Australian tourism calendar. It enjoys a stellar reputation and much of the food comes from the biodynamic vegetable gardens at Cullen Estate. Local, interstate and international visitors and critics laud praise on their dining experience, which is matched perfectly to Cullen Wines.
Another of the highlights for visitors to Cullen Wines is the guided tour for people to be able to see the working biodynamically certified vineyard winery and garden and connect to the Winegrowing at Cullen. To find out more about booking a tour, contact Cellar Door on 9755 5277 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
More recently, Cullen have added the ‘Biodynamic Spiral Garden’ to the winery grounds, which is a self-guided tour in the gardens explaining the biodynamic operations and practices which are so important to them.
