2014 Mangan East Block Magnum
This quality wine was produced on a certified Biodynamic, carbon Neutral and naturally powered estate. The grapes were harvested from the prime selections of the eastern blocks of the Mangan vineyard. Excellent growing season with good spring rains and none during the harvest season. Another great vintage but very low yields producing richer wines with plenty of character. This wine is a blend of 72% Petit Verdot and 28% Malbec. It was naturally fermented, basket pressed and then matured for 17 months in seasoned French oak.
2014 Vintage Report
Good rain during growing season with no rain at all during January, February and to the end of harvest in March. Low yields and extraordinary compositions with low ph and good acids and flavours just building and building as the grapes continued to ripen. The result is wines across the board which are big in flavour and style. A vintage with long lasting wines of larger than life character.
