Cullen Wines features in Decanter Magazine
One of the world’s most pre-eminent wine magazines, Decanter, has showcased the Margaret River Wine Region in its June 2015 issue.
Cullen Wines featured prominently in the supplement, both in terms of the contribution founders Dr Kevin Cullen and Di Cullen made to the entire area, and the impact that Vanya Cullen and her biodynamic practices still have today.
The various articles look in depth at the history, climate and exceptional quality of the wines produced in the region.
Steven Spurrier, Decanter’s consultant editor and renowned taster, visited the area and as well as enjoying lunch at Cullen Wines, took part in a Cabernet Sauvignon tasting from 23 surrounding estates in which he gave the 2012 Diana Madeline his highest marks.
Similarly, the Cullen Mangan Vineyard Semillon Sauvignon Blanc holds first place in their rated ‘Dream dozen great white Bordeaux blends’ from the 2014 vintage, and the 2012 Kevin John holds equal third place amongst the famous Chardonnays of the region.
Andrew Caillard MW and co-founder of Langton’s auction house offers an article on the investment analysis of Margaret River Wines, in which Diana Madeline sits in the enviable ‘Exceptional’ class, and Kevin John is rated an ‘Emerging Performer’ at auction.
