Our Cellar Door staff, led by Cellar Door Manager and Senior Sommelier Nicolas Cleradin, are warm, welcoming and love to engage with visitors about our wines, our wine making processes and the biodynamic practices Cullen use. Whether you are a novice trying a Cullen wine for the first time, or a wine enthusiast with a discerning palate, our Cellar Door has something for you. Sample our latest releases, or for those who want to indulge a little more, we do have a great selection of back vintages available (tasting fees apply) thanks to our Enomatic serving system, which allows vintage fine wines to be stored and served at perfect conditions.

Cullen Wines was the first winery in Margaret River to offer visitors a taste of local fare with their wines, as far back as 1976, when the family put together simple cheese platters, pastries and soups to welcome their visitors.

The tradition of welcoming guests from all over the world with fine wine and pure local fare continues today, and the reputation Cullen has for producing exquisite food has grown.

Fruit, herbs, vegetables and ‘bush tucker’ is nurtured in the extensive biodynamic garden on the grounds, and our chefs can often seen dashing from the kitchen to select the freshest of ingredients straight from the garden. The highly experienced Kitchen Team create awe inspiring dishes that combine the simplest of biodynamic, local and organic ingredients to produce dishes that complement our wines perfectly, and stay with you long after you have left Wilyabrup.

To truly immerse yourself in Cullen Wines, we invite you to enjoy our ‘Food and Wine Experience’, where you will enjoy a range of exclusive new release and highly sought after back vintage Cullen Wines matched perfectly to an exceptional set menu, selected specifically to complement these wines. Our experienced staff will step you through each course and its accompanying wine. At $200 per person, it is an experience for the senses not to be missed.

Seated Tastings

Enjoy a private Seated Tasting Experience at Cullen Cellar Door.

Your tasting experience will cover the Cullen Wines’ history and philosophy, introduce you to the biodynamic practices, and tell you more about the beautiful sub-region of Wilyabrup.

Our staff will take you through detailed wine flights including our flagships: Diana Madeline and Kevin John and select museum wines. Your tasting experience can be tailored to your preferences. Bookings are essential, enquire with our cellar door team here.

Garden Tour

In response to the level of interest in biodynamics from visitors to the winery, in 2013 the Self-Guided Spiral Garden Biodynamic Tour was installed.

As the name suggests, the intention is for people to be able to stroll through the garden at their leisure and follow the fascinating biodynamic process that is employed throughout the winery and the gardens at Cullen.

Visitors can touch, feel and read about the actions and concepts for themselves, from the development of Steiner’s preparations, to the flowform series of vortexes.

Accommodation

The Homestead is a wonderful family holiday home located across the road from Cullen Wines. Ideal for individuals, couples and families, and also corporate groups, the peaceful country surroundings set the scene for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Built in 1976 by Diana and Kevin Cullen, the founders of the Cullen Wines, the Homestead is constructed from local granite rock and timber with sweeping panoramic views over the striking Margaret River countryside and local vineyards. We also invite you to come across to Cullen Wines and taste our wines, then you may want to stay for lunch to enjoy the delicious food made from organic and biodynamic produce in the Cullen Restaurant.

The Homestead is a self-catering holiday house made up of the main house and a studio. Eggs, bread, milk and butter are provided on arrival. The main house can be booked alone if the extra bedrooms and bathroom of the studio are not required. It is very conveniently located just a short walk from Cullen Wines, and 15 minutes by road from the beach at Gracetown, 20 minutes from Margaret River and 30 minutes from Dunsborough.
