2015 Diana Madeline makes James Halliday’s ’25 Top Reds’

James Halliday celebrates the Australia 2015 vintage by naming his 25 favourite top red wines in the 2017 August / September Halliday Wine Companion magazine. We are very proud that Cullen’s iconic Diana Madeline has made the list.

‘87% cabernet sauvignon, 11% merlot, 1% each of malbec and cabernet franc from the Cullen Vineyard, primary fermentation average 12 days, average skin contact 22 days, matured for 17 months in French barriques (66% new). It is inappropriate to use the term elegant to describe the wine simply because it is on another, higher level, making the word hackneyed in this instance. The fragrant bouquet, silky palate and perfectly shaped tannins of the finish are unique to this wine, made with endless care and patience by Vanya and her team.’
