An Evening with Cullen Wines at Bathers Beach House, Fremantle
More than 80 Friends and Family enjoyed a memorable evening at Bathers Beach House on the water in Fremantle on October 28th.
The evening started with oysters and a 2009 Sparkling Chardonnay whilst the location provided a spectacular view of the sun setting over the Indian Ocean. Guests enjoyed canapés matched to new releases; the 2013 Cullen Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, the 2013 Moon Opposite Saturn Sauvignon Blanc, and then the much anticipated 2013 Kevin John Chardonnay, which was a huge hit with the crowd, and many went back for a second tasting.
Vanya Cullen introduced the wines, and the group were treated to talks from other key people at Cullen Wines; Mike Bowles CFO, Nic Cleradin Sommelier and Matt Dermody, Vineyard Manager, explaining the intricacies of the latest vintage.
The second half of the evening featured the 2014 Rose of Wilyabrup, the 2014 Preservative Free Merlot and the 2013 Mangan East Block, which thoroughly satisfied the red wine lovers in the room.
It was a fabulous evening with many compliments both for the wines and the well matched food provided by the wonderful people at Bathers.
