2023 Dancing In The Sun
This wine represents the fun and joyful side of Biodynamics. A refreshing blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon with a touch of Verdelho, to be enjoyed with friends while… dancing in the sun.
2023 vintage was preceded by cool and wet October, November, December and then dry and hot January, February, March, producing wines of great gravitas and quality.
This wine is a blend of 79% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Semillon and 5% Verdelho, and is made from certified biodynamic fruit. Harvested on the fruit and flower days of the biodynamic calendar and fermented without oak, additions of yeast or acid. Some skin contact time before fermentation.
Vintage Notes
Vintage 2023 was a low yielding vintage which yielded some stunning grapes and hence quality wine.In particular Cabernet Sauvignon exhibited the best typicity of varietal manifestation .The 52 year old vines consistently yield well year on year out.
The growing conditions until December were cold and wet and due to the negative indian dipole and La Niña effects finishing in December 2022 we had an unprecedented dry spell from December until the end of harvest.
Small berry size particularly in white grape varieties produced beautifully balanced wines; Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Malbec all outstanding.

Vineyard: 49% Mangan Vineyard, 21% Cullen Vineyard
Varieties: 79% sauvignon blanc, 16% semillon, 5% verdelho
Harvest: 1st – 8th March, fruit and flower days
Alcohol: 13.0%
