Ray Jordan, The West Australian, January 2018 ‘I continue to be surprised by the number of people who remain locked in a time warp of 20 years ago when chardonnays, with a few notable exceptions, were big and ugly. Today’s chardonnays are so different, offering subtlety, finesse and a degree of delicacy while losing very little in palate intensity. And there is no doubt that Australian chardonnays rank with the worlds finest.’

Cullen Kevin John 2016

Firmly established as one of the great chardonnays of Margaret River. This is a wine that combines delicacy and power, all delivered with such finesse and restraint. Beautiful aromas of lifted brioche and floral stone fruit with some subtle roast nuttiness. Exquisitely crafted palate that builds layer upon layer. Focussed and intense through to its very long finish. 97/100. Best drinking now to 2028. Alc 13.5%.
