2012 Mangan Vineyard Merlot Malbec Petit Verdot

This is a 55/29/16 blend of merlot, malbec and petit verdot from a single vineyard that’s biodynamically farmed. It’s said a wine of terroir is a wine of the mouth and it’s true here: blackcurrant, rose petal and earth aromas are lovely, but the wine comes alive when it hits the tongue. It’s perfectly structured – each grape has come together to provide real harmony – with bright acid and fabulous fine-grained tannins to drive the red and black currants, leather, herbs and lavender flavours.
