The Margaret River Press have published a short video called The Chef and The Gardener at Cullen from Sophie Mathewson on Vimeo.

“Margaret River Press and Cullen Wines have a long special established relationship that extends further than Cullen simply stocking our books. Over the next few months, Cullen will host ‘ A glass of wine and a good book’, an initiative funded by Writing WA and supporting local poets and authors whose work we have published. Early next year, plans are also in place for a poetry series that we have been busy coordinating with the winery and WA poets.

In 2011, when we published the ‘Chefs of the Margaret River Region’ book, the Cullen restaurant was one of those featured. Cullen’s true devotion to biodynamic produce, and their onsite garden was a stand out in terms of the fresh local ingredients used in cooking.

We went back there last week to meet their new chef, David Hull, and long time gardener, Stuart McKay. The guys spared their time to chat about a typical day at Cullen, and what they love about working at the winery.”
