2012 Cullen Mangan Vineyard Merlot Malbec Petit Verdot

Beautifully balanced wine. Biodynamically grown blend of merlot, malbec and petit verdot. If $29 is the right price, it’s money well spent.

This wine hums along on a gorgeous plane. It’s intricately woven. Flavours of blackcurrant, earth, leather dried herbs, vanilla and lavender. The flavours are good, but they’re not really the thing. It’s the pitch of it, the medium weight, the fine lattice of tannin, and the linger.
