2019 PF Malbec
This quality wine from Mangan Vineyard was produced on a certified Biodynamic, Carbon Positive and naturally powered estate. The malbec grape produces wines which are intensely fruit dense and are supple and exotic in character. Big berries which have soft skins giving ample juice which pick up deep purple hues and gentleness of spirit. This wine has had no additions, with the native yeast producing a small amount of sulphur dioxide naturally. The fruit is carefully chosen from the most suitable malbec of the harvest to make this style of wine.
The 2019 vintage was affected by frost and also birds, the nature of this very low yielding harvest gives aromatics and elegance. Hand harvested on a fruit day this wine was crushed to tank and spent 24 days on skins before being basket pressed, racked to tank and then bottled. This wine will age well with the tannins giving the security for the fruit to stay fresh under screwcap. A fresh, fruity wine with good balance and tannin structure.
