2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
This wine is a made from 53% Mangan and 47% Cullen Estate vineyards. It is a blend of 74.9% cabernet sauvignon, 23% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 0.1% petit verdot.
We are not looking for oak influence in our wines other than as a salt and pepper, hence this beautiful elegantly fruited wine has only had 7 months in oak of which 25% were new.
Vintage Notes
2022 vintage grew wines of immense perfume and texture. The cooler season and low yields ensured that the health of the vines and hence the fruit quality. Exceptionally good for chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and of course Cabernet Sauvignon.

This outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot from the 2018 vintage displays densely flavoured ripe dark fruits, complemented by discrete fine-grained tannins. It was matured in French oak barrels for 6 months, of which 25% were new.
