2022 Mangan Vineyard Red Moon
This wine is made from certified biodynamic carbon positive fruit from vines planted between 1995 and 1997. A blend of 55% Petit Verdot, 32% Malbec and 13% Merlot. It has been made without additions of yeast or acidity and harvested around the Lu-na calendar. A red Moon occurs during a total lunar eclipse when the light filtering through the Earth’s atmosphere dapples the Moon in red light. The hand harvested fruit was naturally fermented and preserved in older oak for 8 months. This unique blend will age well for 20 years.
Vintage Notes
2022 vintage grew wines of immense perfume and texture. The cooler season and low yields ensured that the health of the vines and hence the fruit quality. Exceptionally good for chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and of course Cabernet Sauvignon.
